How big is the Moon?
The Moon is the fifth largest natural satellite in the Solar System: At3,475 km in diameter, the Moon is much smaller than the major moons of Jupiter and Saturn. Earth is about 80 times the volume than the Moon, but both are about the same age. The Moon appears quite large, but that is only because it is the close.
Earth weighs 81 times more than the moon. The moon's density is 3.34 grams per cubic centimeter (3.34 g/cm3). That is about 60 percent of Earth's density. The moon is the second densest moon in the solar system; st celestial body.
